In a dark alley

The air gets solid
Getting tough to inhale
The earth below became fluid
My feet not leaving a trail

Silent seconds keep stretching
Into minutes with no end
All action just balking
All thinking just suspend

Fingers stealthily graze each other
Touch and then move away
Looking at each other pensively
Both bodies caught in each other’s sway

Heart is tempted to reach out for her
To hold, kiss and caress her
But mind holds back with caution
Not get caught in the heat of emotion

Scared of touching her again
Thinking of ways to feign
Scared of what she might think
Always holding off at the brink

One finally gathers the courage
To do a bit of salvage
To finally grasp the moment
Sweet gratification instant

Love you in more ways than one
Even when eternity and everlasting is done
Don’t want to let go off your hands
Picking on my heart strand by strand

A neat piece here!!! Keep it up!!! One suggestion though -

"The earth below became fluid"

Stick to the primary tense; the earth below becomes fluid.

Cheers!!!
