I walk the path alone
Along its curves and turns
ur absence even the trees moan
for a sight of you, the river yearns
the branches reach out to touch me
the brooks call out my name
the rocks want to bind me
the grass behaves just the same
they want me to stay there
rest a while, rest some more
i feel at peace, at ease
suddenly there is no one left I need to please
I want to remain still
covered by moss, by mist
ur thoughts rushin to mind to fill
don't want to let go, don't want to resist
should I walk away from these
will my mind ever find peace
will i ever fill the blankness
will i ever to myself confess
u may no longer be there in my life
that doesn't change a thing
every single breath still stings
the thought of you cuts like a knife.
