Why marriage is much better than being in love

I know it has been quite some time since i hit hundred...i have just been very very bu..err..lazy.
But i guess it is much better than any batsmen who always seem to make some silly shot and end their innings right after they hit their century..Atleast my innings continues. So without further adieu, my next post...Just shouting out that i am not yet OUT.

With my apparently happy bachelorhood coming to an end( not a quick end though, the process has been prolonging for more than a year now ) I went into a pensive mood weighing down the pros and cons of the single life versus the married life. ( Pros and Cons remind me of another joke... if a pro is opposite of a con then is progress the opposite of congress...remember this during election, people. )

Coming back to the topic under discussion, I sat down and started listing down what works and what doesnt work for both these lifestyles.

Being in love

1 ) Socially active:- Pro: when i mean socially active i mean the dates. visiting all the newest hangouts in the city, catching all the movies in theatres ( even downright crappy ones like Newtonin Moondram vidhi ..yughhh!! ).
Con : although this might be interesting, at the end of the month or in my case the tenth day of the month, you find your bank account drained, moth flies in your wallet etc
2)Bigger circle of friends:- Pro :when two hearts combine, automatically two groups of friends combine making it a bigger gang. more the people more the fun.
Con : when the circle becomes big and unified, the main thing that happens is that you no longer have an alibi. you can no longer say that you were out partying with your gang or that you had to drop your friend or that the girl that you were seen with was the cousin of the brother of the colleague of your friend. since its all one single gang all your alibis are moot or no longer unverifiable.
3)Gifts:- Pro : Gifts galore. both sides. both sides get and give gifts.for all silly reasons, like the first fight, the first icecream they had together, the first movie etc etc. there is some thrill in buying gifts and receiving gifts for apparently no reason.
Con: WARNING . such activity sets a preset which is often expected by the opposite sex to continue even after marriage
4)Stolen moments :- Pro : stealing a quick kiss, touching fingers behind backs, without the knowledge of the gang that seems to be always with you both, doing cheesy stuff like drinking out of the same bottle ( i never ever did this , i swear ) , whispering sweet nothings into her ears to the background sounds of your gang groaning and moaning.
Con: Expecting this to keep happening even after we have done this for a million times and still expecting it to give the same rush...come on, not going to happen.
There are plenty more but i am going to stick to these so as to make an easy comparison. Since this looks like it has already reached its limit in terms of length i am putting the rest in part 2 of this post ( also this way i can split one blog title into two...have to show numbers na..after all i am in sales)

    wait for part 2
