A mundane Monday

Early morning alarm rings
The dreary reality stings
All sultry dreams flee
With that all joy and glee

Slowly get dressed up
Looking like a worn out stub
Reluctantly step out of home
The heart just wants the body to roam

Enter the office campus
Can actually feel your resolve turn to dust
Plant yourself in your cube
Squished like paste out of a tube

Endless meetings of no use
Your mind blowing out a fuse
You repeat the same thing you did yesterday
Tomorrow would be another dragon to slay.

The interim bursts of fun and frolic
Just to return to hear your boss being caustic
You just wish you were dead
Aah but the lack of the same you really dread

What a humour! I miss the poet who used to have such wonderful sense of humour...
