Screw the people
I write this on the day that my dad received instructions from the government as to how much to charge fees for the students at his school...one word ...just one word...insane
The almighty powers have decided that it would be possible to provide quality education at about 1/8th of the cost that it actually takes...i dont really understand how they came about that calculation.
Everybody has been on the side of the fee-paying parent and have supported the government's decision but no one has stepped in to understand the mechanics that go behind running a school. For eg: the fees determined by the government for a LKG student is around Rs.1300. ( varies according to the locality of the school). The irony is that the salary of an aayaah ( not demeaning their job but they are probably the lowest on the payscale) is around Rs 1500. A decent sized school with around 500 children at the least needs 5-6 functional staff like this on a monthly basis....and people the 1300 i mentioned is not monthly but yearly.
Now you can imagine what is the problems that people who are running schools are facing when you can apply the same ratio to teachers...Accepted, there are schools that run purely for the commercial aspect and they still continue to do well because they have managed to camouflage their money-grabbing tactics under different schemes but what about the people who really wanted to do a good job...Well , the government seems to have just two words for them..SCREW YOU

for the education system, quality is gonna take a dive.. pathetic.. really pathetic..
It sucks big time... Let them charge less from students, but let the government pay the rest of money to the schools. How will people run school with such meagre amount?
Utterly unpractical, forthcoming election stunts. I hate this attitude from the government side.
yes, as Harsha rightly said "quality is goona take a dive".
Frustrating as hell.
Frustrations are aplenty..
but beyond that...nothing can be done...except silent suffering...
