Isn’t life funny…god must be a practical joker.

This profound statement was made not by any person who has weathered the rough or enjoyed the pleasures of existence but by a kid. A kid of just seventeen years of age. (Don’t ask me who he is) The reason that statement was made is not backed by any great philosophical insight either. But it has made me think. Think very deeply and profoundly.

All through our lives we have seen this particular situation happen over and over again. Which situation am I talking about…the inevitable one that each and every one of us have experienced. The typical man sees something that he wants….he works for it so hard….gives all his inputs …all his efforts…in the end it doesn’t even matter…the man who did nothing and in most cases didn’t even deserve it gets it….what does the man who loses get…bad advice..” don’t worry , you are destined for greater things, failures are the stepping stones to success , blah blah blah “

What is the point in thinking that something greater is out there in the unknown for us….how can someone quantify something in the future as quantifiably better than what we lost out today…who else but us is qualified to judge which is best for us…who else but me can possibly see what is in my best interest….so people when I am down and out , I would rather that you kick me in my face rather than give me such advice…I am not stopping you from giving me advice…just don’t give me advice like this..

I am sure that everyone who has been in this situation has had this experience….the kid that I am talking about in the beginning had just lost something so dear to him and yet he comes out and gives out such a statement.

It reminds me of another kid who I knew way back…His dad was never around when he grew up as he was working out of Dubai or some Arab country…the dad realized that he was not doing any justice to his kid and quit the job and came down and settled down here….bang!! wham !! two months later in a road accident he died…guess god did have a wicked sense of humor or rather a twisted sadistic mind….

As Kamal says “ I don’t say that god doesn’t exist.. I just say that if he did exist it would be nice “
